I have loved coffee my entire life (would inhale the smell from the can when I was little), and I truly enjoyed this story❤️. Thank you for a great read.
Well, I’ll drink an americano when necessary, but in general I’m not the biggest espresso bean fan. When I make it myself I use a Colombian bean and French press. Then I drink it black.
Though, when I have access to it, there’s a coffee roaster in Tucson, Arizona that dry roasts beans with Mexican vanilla, cinnamon, and just a hint of dark chocolate. So the coffee just kind of has the essence of those flavors without anything artificial. Whenever I return to the States I always order myself some.
Poignant autofiction is a lovely thing. Just enough of the writer to persuade readers that it may be true, but then, as writers, is it not our job to offer many truths?🐰
It’s been 15 years and I completely understand that processing takes what seems like an eternity and that’s only once we start. I wonder what it is that made now the time to start for you.
Oh, trust me, I started ages ago. I just had an idea about coffee (and how I came to drink it) that I liked.
It’s kind of funny to look at old relationships and see what you took from them. Sometimes it feels like the sum of our parts are the little pieces of failed relationships.

You got a head start on me with the coffee. And thanks for your kind words.
I love this story. I hope she reads it too.
Yes I do too
I'm a writer, and I have to say, your writing is exceptional
Thanks Steve-orino. Appreciate the kind words.
Loved this and not just because I’m a big fan of coffee.
Beautiful<\3
I love this, Greyson!
Muy bueno
We just celebrated 34 years of marriage. Reading this makes me wish you two were still together. Dang.
Congrats to you and your partner.
As for me, for better or worse, it’s better this way.
Thank you. I look forward to reading more of you stuff.
The question is is the coffee Americano? Expresso ? Or ?
Thank you for sharing

Yes the sum but also the remainder of what’s left after shedding (or amputating) the parts we can live without?
