Hi Greyson------I really enjoy going out to eat by myself......I find it is a good way to meet new people---particularly men who often dine alone....lol.....I was hoping that when you said you were cleaning out your frig there that you would pull out a moldy green piece of cheese........lol......man would that be funny.....or like something that you no longer knew what it was......lol...Have a great day!
I have tried eating breakfast at a diner by myself. Yes there were some men who were by themselves too, possibly truckers, workmen? However I found that I had to read something on my phone because it felt extremely awkward to me. So that way, I didn’t have to make a constant effort to stare down at my plate. Occasionally I would smile at the waitress passing by, but otherwise, tried to look busy reading, as I ate. Perhaps I am wrong, but are men more relaxed at eating by themselves out in public, than women overall?
Unfortunately, that’s not something I can answer. Maybe yes, or maybe no. But I do think there’s a kind of mental barrier we needed to move past, because it does feel odd at first. Perhaps sitting by yourself in a coffee shop before advancing to a restaurant would be easier. That way it’s only 20 minutes or so, but it can help erode away that odd feeling.

Ha, I do have some moldy cheese in there…though it’s intentionally moldy. So you’re close.
That's funny, Greyson! "Intentionally?" Somehow I can't quite picture you gnawin' on a piece of moldy cheese.......lol

I like eating on my own. I like eating with friends and with family too but a meal on one’s own can definitely be a bit of a treat.
